What to Prepare Before Requesting a Villa Construction Quotation
You can start a conversation before every document is complete. A well-organised brief makes it easier to identify missing information and prepare a meaningful quotation.

Summarise the project
State the plot location, project type, approximate built-up area and intended start date. Explain whether the project is a new villa, an extension or a renovation. Describe your priorities, such as a particular finish level or a target handover period.
Collect the available drawings
Share the architectural, structural and MEP drawings currently available, with their revision dates and approval status. Include schedules or specifications that define the proposed materials and systems. Make it clear when a document is preliminary so assumptions are not mistaken for final design decisions.
Define your selections and scope
List the proposed floor and wall finishes, bathroom fixtures, kitchen requirements, doors and windows. Identify owner-supplied items and work outside the contractor's scope. If selections are pending, explain the expected standard and ask for stated allowances.
Provide useful project records
Where available, include the consultant's scope documents, quantities and relevant site information. Ask the appointed consultant which records are needed for your specific project and share only the relevant documents through the agreed channel.
Use a simple checklist
- Location and approximate built-up area.
- Drawing revisions and approval status.
- Specifications and finish expectations.
- Included packages and owner-supplied items.
- Intended start date and contact details.
If you have only part of this information, tell the contractor what is ready. The next step may be a clarification conversation rather than a final price. A detailed quotation should state the information and assumptions on which it is based.
